Who Is Jesus & Why Should I Care?

THEME: Everyone has an opinion about Jesus. He is the most incredible person of all time. What makes Jesus unique? You will give an account to God for what you do with Jesus today. The good news is you can have a life-changing relationship with Christ . . . starting this Easter!

I. Jesus is distinctly God's Son and He proved it by His resurrection.

1. Life apart from Christ is futile.

"Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve, everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind; nothing was gained under the sun."
Ecclesiastes 2:11

2. Life with Christ gives purpose.

"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." John 10:10

II. I should care about Jesus because with Him. . .

1. My sin is forgiven and I am empowered to live for Jesus.

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 6:23

2. I have a home in heaven when I die.

"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." Revelation 21:4

What will you do?

God gives guidance so we will follow it, not just know about it. Think about this and act on the following questions:

1. Have you really asked Jesus to forgive your sin and lead your life?

2. Thank God for sending Jesus for you!

3. Pray that FBCO will stay focused on His purposes.
