The Faith of a Mother
Exodus 2:1-10

I. She had a faith that was rooted in her past.
(Exodus 2:1-2)
1. The heritage of her family
"And ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath; but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord." Ephesians 6:4 KJV
"nurture" aid in the development of
"admonition" gentel or friendly reprove
2. The history of her people.
3. The hope she had for her child.
"We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain. "
Hebrews 6:19 NIV
II. She had a faith that was resilient in the present. (Exodus 2:3-4)
1. She did not rely on her own ability to understand.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight."
Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV
2. She responded with a solution.
3. She rested in the Lord's deliverance.
"It was not by their sword that they won the land, nor did their arm bring them victory; it was your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, for you loved them." Psalm 44:3 NIV
III. She had a faith that was rewarded.
(Exodus 2:5-10)
1. Got her child back
2. Got to nurse and care for Moses
3. Child receive the best education
4. He became the deliverer of the nation of Israel
