THEME: Revival is a fresh encounter with God. Sin is purged from a life and God is given His rightful place in all areas. The focus moves from “what pleases me” to “what honors God” The result is restoration of friendship with God, reverence for the sacred, clear conscience, inner peace, ruptured relationships made right and healthy, a desire to share Christ with my lost loved ones and friends, and a focus on what really matters. I When Was the Last Time You Purged the Sin From Your Life to Allow the Spirit of God to flow Freely through you?

1. God convicts me of a wrong and His better way and I ignore it

II My Sin Erodes What is Valuable and of God and I Blind Myself and Refuse to See It

III Return to God With Thorough Examination of Self, Breaking from Sin, and Priorities of Accountability to God and Another (Romans 2:4):

1. Right Pleasure: honoring God in all areas: “Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy.” 1 Timothy 6:17

2. Right Priorities: “Whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.” James 4:17

Addiction/Argumentative/Bitter/Boastful/Bossy/Cause dissension/Conceit/Pulled by peer pressure/Covet/Critical tongue/Deceitful/Dominator/Drunk or drugs/Envy (upset at blessings of others)/False modesty/Fear/Feeling worthless/Gluttony/Greedy/Hatred/Hostile/Lust/
Impatient/Impulsive/Impure thoughts/Indifferent to others/Insecure/Jealous/Lazy/Loner/Occult/
Materialistic/Negative/Opinionated/Overly sensitive to criticism/Passive/Prejudice/Profanity/
Project blame on others/Gossip/Rebellion to authority/Resentful/Self-centered/Self-pity/Grudge holder/Slow to forgive/Sexual lust/Homosexual/Workaholic/Stubborn/Withdrawal from accountability/Rationalize my sin by blaming others/Stuck and refuse to do right because of past hurt or what might happen/Selfish/thinking “I deserve it”/Refusal to obey God promptly
