Returning to our Roots As Americans

Psalm 85:9-13

Theme: America is either the most admired or most hated country. Why is that? We have strayed from our spiritual foundation. Today God is calling His people to live for Him in order for healing to come from above.

I. To experience authentic love, truth must prevail. (v. 9-10)

1. Separation of church and state was originally meant to keep the state from interfering with the free exercise of faith.

2. Freedom today has been redefined as license

II. The hope for America is for Christians to get serious about God (v. 10b-13).

1. Repent of arrogance and live to honor God.

“The people whom I formed for Myself will declare My praise.”
Isaiah 43:21

2. The hope of the heart is Jesus.

Make it practical
1. Than God for America and Pray Christians will return to our roots and live to honor God.
2. Have you asked Christ to forgive your sin and be the Leader of your life?
