THEME: Following God’s way works! Salvation is free. As disciples of Christ we discipline ourselves and do what the Bible says. If you follow Biblical principles, you can prosper and God will meet your needs. God blesses us not so we can spend it selfishly but so we can extend his kingdom and bless others.

I. What will we save for?

1. Emergencies
2. Purchases.
3. Future

Key point: Define what you need, want and desire.

II. Prioritize your dollars toward needs.

III. How to invest for the future.

1. First way to make money is to work.

IV. Invest Scripturally and God blesses you to
bless others :
1. Avoid “Get rich quick” schemes.

I Timothy 6:9

Rule of 72: If you earn 7.2%, your money doubles in 10 years. If you earn 10%, your money doubles in 7.2 years.

2. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket .
Ecclesiastes 11:2

3. Do not invest in what you don’t understand.

4. If married, be in agreement and share the joy or the fault.

Galatians 6:7-10

Act in truth:
When you act on Biblical truth, the truth frees you to become all God purposed you to be. (See John 8:31-32)
1. Take all necessary steps to enjoy financial peace instead of living under financial stress.
2. Pray with your family this week about your best gift to Jesus on May 4th “I Love His Church!” Day.
3. Trust Christ as Savior and follow Him in believer’s baptism.
