The Blessing of Obedience
Luke 1:46-55
Theme: Mary was a teenager whose heart was holy unto the Lord. God
chose her to bring Jesus into the world because she was devoted to Him.
Are you devoted to the Lord so that He can entrust a miracle to you?
I. The blessing of obedience comes when you learn to doubt
your doubts and affirm your faith. (Luke 1:46-50)
1. The place of your greatest struggle is potentially your greatest strength .
"I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be
content whatever the circumstances."
Philippians 4:11
2. Worship of God empowers you for the
work of God.
II. The blessing of obedience comes when you realize
God is at work in you as He was in Mary.
(Luke 1:51-55)
1. Obedience comes by studying the past to
live in the present.
"For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to
strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him."
2 Chronicles 16:9a
Make it Personal:
Today reflect on the following truths:
1. Based on your devotion to him, what can God entrust you with?
2. Are you taking time to refresh yourself in worship and Bible study?
3. Thank God that Jesus came for you!
4. Have you asked Christ to forgive your sin, lead your life and
have you followed Him in believer's baptism?
